The Amerinazis haven't won a war since WW I. You can't even count WW II. They were Johnny come latelys to the war, used two bombs developed by European scientists living in America to win the battle for the Pacific, and were rescued on the European front by the Canadians and British. The Amerinazi smart technology bombs in Iraq have failed to land on targer 99% of the time (this is an actual stat, look it up before you scream at me, and don't just go to the biased DOD stats for your answers). And they are losing a war against civilian insurgents. I can only imagine how badly embarrased they would be fighting against the disciplined Chinese or North Korean armies. Yet the Amerinazis claim they are the greatest of all time. What a joke they are.

On June 6, 1944, the 3rd Canadian Division landed on Juno Beach in the Battle of Normandy and sustained 50% casualties in their first hour of attack. By the end of D-Day, the Canadians had penetrated deeper into France than either the British or the American troops at their landing sites, overcoming stronger resistance than any of the other beachheads except Omaha Beach. In the first month of the Normandy campaign, Canadian, British and Polish troops were opposed by some of the strongest and best trained German troops in the theatre, including the 1 SS-Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, 12th SS Hitler Jugend Panzer Division and the Panzer Lehr Division. Several costly operations were mounted by the Canadians to fight a path to the pivotal city of Caen and then south towards Falaise.

Three Victoria Crosses were earned by Canadians in Northwest Europe; Major David Currie of the South Alberta Regiment (predecessor to the current South Alberta Light Horse) won the Victoria Cross for his actions at St. Lambert sur Dives, Captain Frederick Tilston of the Essex Scottish (today the Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment) and Sergeant Aubrey Cosens of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada were rewarded for their service in the Rhineland fighting in 1945, the latter posthumously.

One of the most important Canadian contributions was the Battle of the Scheldt. The British had liberated Antwerp, but that city's port could not be used until the Germans were driven from the heavily fortified Scheldt estuary. In several weeks of heavy fighting in the fall of 1944, the Canadians succeeded in defeating the Germans in this region. The Canadians then turned east and played a central role in the liberation of the Netherlands (Liberation of Holland).

I served in the US military (USMC),

and the attitude you describe is %100 correct.

People, like animals, fall in Love with power, the power to overwhelm.

Americans are seduced by the feeling of military power, (shamefully, this resembles German citizens of WW II).

The attitude you see in pro-war Americans is one of HUBRIS.

But that's OK, they are paying for it in many ways already.

Apparently you've written your own history. You give us credit for winning WW1 though we were only in combat for less than a year. When we entered WW2 only Great Britain had withstood Hitler's Nazis (barely). The rest of Europe was the Third Reich. Where would they be now if the US hadn't come along with they did? Do you speak German? Where would England have been without the Lend-Lease Act? Where would Europe be without America's industrial capacity (in WW2)?

I realize that smart bombs don't hit their targets 99% of the time, but they land within 25 feet of the target at least 95% of the time. I'm not going to get into any hypothetical wars with China or North Korea. We routed the North Koreans and fought the Chinese to a standstill (outnumbered around 10 to 1) in the Korean War (who can you give credit for that one?) You might want to go reexamine your information about 'losing' in Iraq, too. The only reason the insurgents have any success at all is their ability to be invisible, that is, to hide in the general public. The soldiers can't indiscriminately fire into crowds of civilians in the hopes of killing a couple of bad guys.

Go check your records. The US military hasn't lost a major engagement since the 1950's. Our inept government has lost several wars, but the military keeps winning the battles. I realize I'm wasting my time here. You are just trying to set some people off with this. Especially since the US military is acknowledged the world over as the most powerful military in the world.

One Tiger tank stopped an entire Canadian division outside of Caen in 1944, the tank ace Michel Witmann received the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and diamonds for that deed, but i digress. American air superiority and the breakout at Avranche by the 3rd Army were the keys for victory in the European theatre. All the nukes did was to end the pacific war sooner, there was no doubt about how it would end.

In any event, the second world war was won in the East by the Red Army. what makes the American army the greatest in the world, ie, superpower, was demonstrated in the quick elimination of the 4th largest army in the world back in 1991. What a joke you are to think the Canadians are anywhere near the top of the world's armies in the last century.

We are not the greatest fighting force ever you are right. The Spartans were the greatest ever, and no Im not getting this off the damn movies 300, which is historically inaccurate anyways. But you still had the Roman empire as well. The English and Spaniards with their Navies in the 1400's to 1700's. Now on to modern day I truly believe and honestly believe (as an American myself and serving in the Navy as a corpsman) that the Chinese have the best fighting force in the world, I do believe that we have the best military technology though.

I am an American. We overwhelm our opponents with bulk.
I don't say we are the best, but our resources are limitless.
A standing army like the N Koreans or the Red Chinese would be more up our alley than the BS thats going on in Iraq.
I might guess you live in a country or are from a country that is under the British crown. You know how to lose when you don't have the will of the people or your motives are unjust. We know it too.
PS I think the IDF is solid, and man for man could fight anyone in this world.

Of course you know your terminology will be offensive to many people, me among them.

Truly, the Pacific war was ended by bombs that would have not been possible but for the efforts of Jewish refugees, but Japan had already been beaten -- Lawd, they were having schoolgirls practice with sharpened bamboo sticks to fend off the invaders. An invasion would have been nasty and it would have been bloody. Do you suppose any of the Brits, Anzacs, Canadians or Usians who would have gone ashore would have enjoyed killing those schoolgirls?

I do think that Bradley's army group (including Patton's army) had much greater success than Montgomery's, who failed repeatedly to break through at Caen, and whose major action was the hell of Arnheim.

Despite MacArthur's stubborn failure to listen to his own intelligence, UN forces, largely under US direction, managed to hold the line in Corea against the Chinese, and might have done more, were it not for political factors.

Thank you for granting us credit in the Great War.

I am as opposed as you are to the Iraq adventure, because I never saw any purpose in it; but, damn, if anyone could make me a supporter of that fiasco, you would be that person.

This is a joke right? You're not actually trying to convince people that Canada has a military of any consequence...are you?

Hey I like to camp in your country and spend that Monopoly looking money...but if I had to pick an army to defend any thing more important than a Dunkin Donuts....it wouldn't be our Northern Neighbors.

By the way F**k you and you Amerinazi comment. You're welcome for the USA providing you with the nuclear umbrella during 50 years of the cold war.

Hey....you know what the difference is between the French Military and the Canadian Military? Absolutely nothing.....

since youre so convinced smart bombs are so inaccurate, i guess you wouldnt mind using you or your home as a pratice target
the chinese might have the largest army in the world but their navy doesnt have half the ships or manpower of the us navy
the north koreans are outdated and obsolete, the reason why they are building nukes
but it is true that the us military was better during the cold war era than it is now, due to downsizing and budget cuts

PS. insurgency is not combat mr einstein

Sounds like someone is envious if you ask me.

The United States, without a doubt, has the best trained and most powerful military in the world.

The only way our military can lose anything is because of politics.

they probably do have the pretty much best army, but they dont well attacking places like iraq because they are trying not to harm cavilians and pretty much do as little damage as possible--which is pretty hard in a war
