I don't think it is truly lead. I think you should clean it and put a band aid on it. Check it tomorrow and may sure it is ok.

This happened to me when I was little. Just treat it like any other wound. Keep it clean, make sure that it doesn't get infected, and she will be fine. She will probably have that grey spot for a long time, but its not going to hurt her especially if the lead didn't actually break off in there. If some did, it will eventually work its way out, but she may still have the spot for a while. But pencil lead is not made out of actual lead anymore, so she isn't going to be poisoned or anything like that. Try not to worry, but give her extra kisses, cause if I remember correctly it hurt like heck.

If you can feel a small lump, then there is still some 'lead" stuck-she may have to go to the doctor to get it removed before an infection occurs. Also, do not worry about lead poisoning. Unless the pencil is 30 years old. They use graphite now, not lead. Try tweezers before taking her in if there is some tip in her skin. Just clean them first with isopropyl rubbing alcohol so as not to give her an infection instead of saving her from one. At least with young children, it's hard to find a boring moment.

If your worried about lead poisoning, be assured that pencils are not really made of lead anymore. I think they stopped that many decades ago. Now it's just graphite, should be very harmless. Just treat it like a splinter if you suspect it is still in there. Put some hydrogen peroxide on it.

There is nothing that you can do about it, it will stay there for the rest of her life, I tell you this cause I have a mark that I did back when i was 7 yr old and it has been like 20 yrs know and it is still there. I did everything that I could to take it off and it never came off.

pencils arent made of lead anymore, but if its deep and not coming out with a needle or by washing, then a doctors appt to take it out might be necessary. you just dont want an infection to happen.

First of all I have lead poisoning, so i know what it is like.
Secondly, there is still lead in pencils, but it is mostly graphite
Third, as long as you can see the black spot she is okay because it hasn't gone deep enough to reach her bloodstream.

put some neosporin on it and the lead will slowly work its way up and then you can use tweezers to get it out. don't worry about it too much because pencils aren't made out of the same form of lead that they used to be-- in order to prevent things such as this.

Pencils are not made out of lead anymore so she should be fine. Just try to get all of it out because anything foreign (splinter, etc) can cause problems if not removed.

Don't really worry about it, it should go away within a few days, to be on the safe side you can put peroxide on it. If it gets red within the next couple of days call the doctor because it may be infected
