I am ten years old and I really need to talk to my new crush. Everyone has it and i can make it safe. I need some advice on how to convince my parents to let me get it.

Listen ... the reason that your parents won't allow an E-Mail or IM at such a young age is ...
BECAUSE they are definitely CARING and LOVING PARENTS .. and want to make sure that YOU Are not Hurt, Endangered, or any other problems!
You are very young .. and NO .. you can NOT make it safe no matter what .. it takes the INTELLIGENCE and Protectiveness of a CARING PARENT to STOP the problems from happening in the first place .. and ...
They are DEFINITELY GOOD PARENTS!

When your 18, and earning your own wages, supporting yourself, and living on your own, you can get what ever you want, until then, study, get an education, and wait for the boys later in life...
Your parents should be watching you now, very disappointing that they aren't over your shoulders...

my parents will not let me get it either....they think ill start talking to some creap....i know how u feel.
If you want them to let u get IM (and e-mail) show them how responsible u r. you need to earn it.

tell them that they can have the password and that they can look at who is sending you things but tell them not to look at your crushes. actually just tell your mom that she will understand.

They are just trying to protect you. There are so many bad people on the internet. Please be patient with them.
