Well City courses here in Los Angeles are $ 28.50 but if you want to play a better public course you can pay anywhere from $35.00 to $ 200.00 and that's Public courses .

My favorite course is $26 I believe. I do play a small 9 holer that costs $14 for 9. These are my usual courses.
The 18 whole course (West Sayville) is a very nice (great T-Boxes an good greens) brings a pond in play and there is a long par 5 which has a nice view of the Great South Bay (Long Island).

I am a member at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon, California.
It is the 4th hardest course in Northern California.
It is a very high end public course, you go there, and everybody thinks that it's a country club, but it's public, though you can get a membership there.
A green fee is $95, and then $10 per person in a cart.

If you want to slap it around in some cow pasture, you can probably get out for less than $40, but daily fee courses that give you the country club experience and have well groomed and well designed tracks will probably be more around $100 per person per round. Sometimes you can get twilight rates playing later in the day.

When you come to a hole, you see a Tee Box. A tee box is where you tee your ball and shoot it to the fairway. Fairway is the part where you are supposed to shoot the ball to the green. Green is part of the golf course that has a very short grass with a pole in the middle of it. Sometimes you see sand on the side of the fairway and greens. That's called bunkers. Also you see small creek just before the green, that called water hazard. It's best if you can visit a golf course and see it for yourself.

$18 (18 hole) gets you on the course and $22 for the cart.To cut down on the price you could forget about the cart and walk but, driving the cart is half the fun.
Everywhere in the world is going vary in price. The course I golf at is pretty nice but it's no Myrtle Beach!

My hometown course costs about $12 a round without a cart and $18 a round with a cart.

That is a very open ended question. I generally spend around $45.00 to play locally, (Michigan).
Two weeks ago in Myrtle Beach, SC I paid anywhere from $65.00 to $120.00 to play.
It all depends on the course, location and the course's condition plus whatever players will pay.
