Although Sweden has been militarily neutral for almost two centuries, Swedish military units HAVE taken part in peacekeeping operations, in Congo, Cyprus, Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan. As well as having sent a hospital unit to the Korean War

The Afghanistan operation (ISAF) is NATO support of the Afghan government... Sweden is NOT a member of NATO, but sent 400 soldiers as peace-keepers

Afghanistan unlike Iraq is the war on terror.They promoted the taliban and were danger to the world

They are there as part of the United Nations.

They are also located in Liberia, Bosnia, Kosovo, and the Congo.

They are there like so many other UN countries honouring their obligation to rebuild Afghanistan
