I am using windows 2000 pro can anyone help?

If your using a digital computer you need to use a usb cable and a photo program.

You have two options, camera direct via a usb cable or a card reader. The later is more preferred as it does not require the camera being on. You will also have to have some kind of software to view, edit them etc. This may have come with your camera or can be downloaded from the net.
Kim komando has a link on her web site (komando.com) to get a very good free one. I think it is call Picasso or something like that. I have several, but use ACDsee for most work and Photo suit or Paint Shop Pro for heavy editing.

first of course it must be digital cam.
Plug in your camera in USB if your computer recognize your cam then right click the my computer.Click exlore.Choose your cam.Open the file.Select your image.

If you have a cd software for your camera would be more easy.Install first this camera software then follow the procedure for installation.
As soon as you installed your camera software(CD) once you plug the cam to USB your computer auto recognize your cam then just click the image you like to save or transfer to your computer or documents or my pictures.
