Everyone has a dark side and the thoughts may never be verbalized. What has happened with Imus will do nothing to solve how people think. The black community has said that they have many problems, that they need to deal with. The incident with Imus shows the white community has problems. Racism is a problem we need to talk about and silence just continues the ugly truth. Racism still exist. He is out of the frying pan and out of the fire. The problem will not go away like this. People are afraid of their own thoughts and I think this ugly comment will go away for the cor prate community by the act of firing Imus. Keeping him on the air would do good things for the discussion. It would be good to see how he would deal with making what he said right. It would make for good discussion about humor and racism. Maybe a standard would be established for all of us to understand.

I think MSNBC made a mistake, myself. I've never cared for Don Imus, and there's no question that the comment he made that is at the center of this whole furor was a BAD comment. As I see it, though, Imus admitted that he shouldn't have said what he did and that his employers were within their rights to punish him. When he was suspended, he didn't whine; he said, I deserved it. MSNBC is within its rights to drop his broadcasts, but I think it's overkill. The man made a mistake and owned up to it. Even though I'll never be a fan, I certainly admire the way he has handled the situation.

i presumed the proper comparable ingredient. i do no longer care how dysfunctional he or Kim Basinger are, the treatment of his daughter on the telephone replace into no longer something in need of youngster abuse. yet my 2 cents is that NBC will do surely no longer something. Alec is a funds maker. he's hosted SNL a dozen cases or some thing like that. He gets scores. he's a "good" actor. human beings will argue that Imus insulted an entire race and gender and 1st earl baldwin of bewdley did no longer. even if 1st earl baldwin of bewdley insulted his very own flesh and blood, belittled her and demeaned her. that's been suggested that Kim leaked the telephone message and who knows, Kim might have been at the back of the daughter no longer answering her telephone whilst Alec noted as. those mothers and dads might desire to have their daughter taken away as a results of fact all she is is a pawn so they are in a position to come back at one yet another. It makes me ill how celebrities, athletes, etc can smash the regulation, get DUIs and arrested, do drugs, and all forms of deplorable issues and nonetheless be employable in Hollywood or expert activities. they are human beings like everybody else yet they get particular treatment. Alec might desire to be booted out of his tutor and compelled into anger administration counseling a minimum of. even if it is going to never take place.

You know what, I think it's about time that someone takes a proactive stance towards these idiot celebrities who spew hateful and ignorant racist remarks, and then turn around saying "Ooops, my bad" and then call up Al Sharpton or a leading Rabbi hoping they'll get them out of the mess. (Or go into rehab. REHAB??? "It was the alcohol talking." No... it was YOU talking.) Imus, Mel Gibson, and Michael Richards... the whole lot of them are a bunch of jerks.
Kudos to MSNBC. What he said about those girls was unforgivable. They are good, hard-working, smart girls who didn't deserve to be publicly humiliated by someone like him in that manner.

NO. Imus has nothing to do with anyone calling you names. They probably call you names due to feeble queries of this nature with no relevance.
