Which/what software are you trying to load?
I loaded many of my old XP programs onto Vista with no problem. What happens when you try?
We need a little more info here!

I'm sure the producers of the software were preparing fixes for Vista as soon as it went on the drawing board. Contact their websites to look for fixes or downloads.

I guess, you have to buy new software for your Vista. Hope this helps.
