of God? My friend told me there was nothing in the bible that said this, and when you get married by a justice of peace it's for civil marriage, if someone were to say their vows with their significant other and ask God to bless their marriage, would it be valid? if not please back it up with scripture, if yes please back it up with scripture. and please dont bash me, its just a question

No, there is nothing in the Bile that says you have to be married by a preacher. As long as a couple says their vows before God and at least two witnesses then they have met what the Bible requires for the establishment of a covenant relationship.
That having been said, most Christian couples would want to have a man of God officiate at the ceremony as opposed to a civil servant. Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God and it shouldn't be taken casually like going and getting a driver's license or something.

According to The Women's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets, the early church placed little emphasis on marriage, for the reason that they were expecting the Christ to return "any minute now" so what would be the point of starting a family? So most marriages back then, if any, were still conducted in a Pagan manner, which pretty much amounts to kidnapping the bride, taking her off somewhere to get her pregnant, and once it was shown that the union could bear fruit, it would be considered "official", in those days. If a priest had anything at all to do with it, he might offer a blessing from the steps of the church. This apparently continued into the middle ages, where they finally decided that gee, maybe he isn't coming quite as soon as we thought he would, and instituted marriage as a formal sacrament...
As to whether God would consider you married if you just made vows to each other without an officiate, only God can answer that, but in this world you need to have an officiate of some kind to be recognised as being married as a general rule, and our laws are written around that in order to protect any offspring, and allow for an equitable end of the relationship if it doesn't work out. There are many other reasons why to make it official in this world, even if you feel you were married by God, but then that is about the laws of man, not the laws of God...

A ceremony is usually a part of the process, but it does not complete the action! A couple who is married by a judge is no less married than a couple who was married in a pastor or priest. God is the one who created marriage (Genesis 2:18-25). What matters is your heart before God, not the wedding ceremony itself.
However, no one is married in God's eyes if that marriage has not been recognized by the laws of the land in which the couple lives. God gave the laws and gave the government the authority to determine what constitutes a legal marriage (Romans chapter 13; Colossians 1:16). In the United States, a legal marriage is only binding with the necessary paperwork, and God honors those laws as well. God takes marriage very seriously; it is a sacred covenant not to be taken lightly. To not want to obey the laws of marriage in society indicates that you are not ready to make the unbreakable covenant marriage requires.

God recognizes marriages regardless whether or not you are saved or not! Whether you get married in front of a preacher in a big fancy church or not! See Matthew 19:3-8

no where this is written! This is white mans stuff for the priest to have power of the population, you don't have to be married on paper either only if you chose! A gathering of 4 or more as witnesses is sufficient!
Here one for everyone to grow on!
did y'all know you can bury YOUR dead yourself and need not a undertaker to handle the body nor do you have to allow autopsies? This too is white man minding and controlling populations they are wrong and they only made this the norm but it is not a must!
