I had a serious bike accident on monday, and I cannot tollerate the pain in my leg with out drugs. If I can Walk tomorrow should I go to work on vicodin (5mg pills)? I am a biochemist.

Yes. If you feel differently anytime during work hours you can always go home. Besides...pain medication when truly taken to manage pain usually doesn't make you feel the same as a person taking the same medication to get high....that's the beauty of most oral painkillers taken properly.

I only know this as a general rule because I asked that question when I was taking Percocet for my back after I broke it climbing. Once I was cleared for work I was still on Percocet and didn't want to appear high at work.

Take it at home first, if you feel loopy, I wouldn't take it at work. It hits everyone differently, so only you can tell if you will be able to function on it.

yeah ..... you should be fine . unless your working around heavy machinery. they effect everyone diff rent you will have to see how they affect you though. i take them everyday for my back pain. sorry to hear about your accident! good luck

I think u should be fine.........5mg is the lowest dose, i have to take the highest................just eat something before u take it like some toast or cereal............................
