Liberals or Conservatives?
And why?

And do they ever laugh at themselves?

Thanks, Argle. Still waiting for you to post your pic. Wouldn't want someone who goes around poking at people's looks to be a hypocrite, now, would we? LOL

So good to finally meet a leprosy-free Liberal, Kalel! J/K (of course). I think the pic is better on my 360 page. It loses something in the condensing.

Thanks for advertising my blog. I stand by those words, and you do not know anything about it.

Both take this seriously in different ways...

Conservatives have more common sense and are more fact based and reflective in their answers and less likely to cut & paste RANTS like the liberals do

Liberals take bashing us Conservatives seriously. They love to bash us and mock us and accuse us of doing what THEY are doing - - ARGLE. Can ArgleBarbleWoogleWoo EVER answer one of our questions without a personal insult - (the answer is NO - he is not capable of that)

Liberal here. I don't think the insults invite seriousness, do they?

I'd visit more often if it weren't for the rancor in here. I enjoy the jokes most - even if they are insulting, it's nice to laugh.

To answer your question, I don't see an easy definition along party lines. But if you demand one, I'd say Liberals are too foolishly serious in here. They think this forum matters (as do many Conservatives.)

I don't. It's entertainment. And perhaps a chance to chat, and nag, and wail about life in general. And joke.

P.S The other photo was far more flattering. You said you are single? Me too. I'm 46, own my house, make a good living, and I am leprosy-free. I have a Dr.'s note to prove it.

P.P.S. I am not fat. I'm ok to look at. I'm clean. I like to read.

Although not a conservative per-se, I think "conservative" types anecdotally seem to take it more seriously. Sure there are those who just sling garbage out there, but when you are looking for some well thought out arguments, most of the ones I find are from a conservative perspective.

This is not to say that the other side does not, as there are three or four very liberal posters who I disagree with but find myself wanting to or voting for their answers, so well thought out and presented.

I hope NO one takes the politics on the Yahoo's Q&A very seriously. It is a good way to see some opposing points of view. It is also very entertaining to read answers on controversial issues, especially political ones.
Sometimes, my answers will be totally opposite of what I believe. I just think sometimes playing the devil's advocate can elicit even more outraeous answers.
It is more entertainment to me than anything else.

i could ought to assert: 3) now and lower back. I see YA as of project to share information and factors of view human beings won't have been uncovered to. I understand that a lot of human beings have corporation critiques already, yet while i will impression some here and there, that's nicely extremely worth the attempt.

I'd say it's a toss-up. Some do it intelligibly, others do it not so intelligibly. (As a Conservative, I have a biased opinion as to who does it better)! And yes, there are times when you have to be humorous on here as well. The key is having the wisdom to know when to use a serious answer, a scathing answer, or a humorous answer.

It's not a matter of which side takes it more seriously. Both do. It's more a matter of which side is more informed and in touch with the facts and with reality, and has better ideas.

And 99% of everything I hear from the Conservative side is crazy rants about the LIBERALS, an imaginary creation of their minds that bears no resemblance to real, living, breathing people. So, you do the math as to who's got the better answers...

God, I'm laughing at the stupidity I read all the time! But yeah, sometimes people on our own side says some ridiculous stuff.

Conservatives take Y!A more seriously.
Cons just don't know how to have fun. Even when they think they are having fun they are boring themselves silly. The main problem is that they are too repressed. They are afraid to think any thoughts that might upset the way they were taught to think.
Libs on the other hand let it all hang out. We don't repress thoughts from our minds. We know who we are. It makes us more interesting people. That's why most entertainers are liberal. It's why most academicians are liberal.
When you let it all hang out you can't take life too seriously. That includes life on Y!A Politics. Cons are trying to stop us libs from having fun. So we have fun aggravating cons. Very appropriate I think.
Edit :
In reference to your latest blog. Feminists are liberal. Liberals fight for womens rights. And you ( and I do mean YOU) benefitted from it. The truth hurts doesn't it ?

I would say idiots - because this is where the political hacks live.

Y!A politics is more about push questions and talking points, than it is a serious discussion / intellectual argument between disagreeing points of view. Of course, no one said that politics is for the faint of heart. However, most people here are only interested in shouting, not in listening, and those people are idiots. For only an idiot would refuse to grow and learn.

I would have to say both.People on both sides are very passionate of their causes. This is a good thing in my mind.It helps keep balance.I like to hear other thoughts on things.Sometimes people bring up a point I missed or hadn't thought of.So debate not debase is good.
