Jesus even thought one up on the cross, he asked a roman "Why did I cross the road? Because I was nailed to a chicken". The Roman laughed and threw the spear which got Jesus in the lung.

Jesus had a sense of humour, but it was pretty subtle. like, when He asked the teachers of the law, the ones who memorized scripture "have you not read?", or when He was asked how he did miracles, and He asked them who did John do miracles by; they couldn't answer, and He basically said "then I'm just not gunna tell you".
I guess lightening up a funeral isn't a crime, but I'm not sure if Jesus would've found a joke that hurt someone (your mommy-in-law) funny. I think He would laugh at some jokes. Besides, God does laugh, it says so in the Bible.

Since Jesus was perfect in every way I would guess He had a wonderful sense of humor. Mel Gibson tried to protray this a little in The Passion of the Christ. It was the first time anyone had done this on film.

I don't know, you tell me.
Sarcasm is out. Course joking is out. Sexual innuendo is out.
Pranks that would embarrass and cause someone to stumble in there respect for him are out. Every moment Jesus was either communing with his father, teaching his disciples, or helping and healing people.
But on the other hand, he gave us the ability to laugh so I would say yes, but I'm not sure what the circumstances would be.

If God had a sense of humor, Jesus must have as well.
An example of God's humor is the instance in which the Israelites were using the Ark of the Covenant like a good-luck charm in taking it to battle, and the Philistines ended up capturing it and placing it in their temple before their idol of Dagon. They came into the temple the next day and found Dagon flat on his face before the ark. They set him back up. The next morning, there he was again, but this time he had his hands and head cut off as a symbol of his powerlessness before the God of the ark (1 Samuel 5:1-5). God’s putting Dagon in a position of submission to His ark is a comical picture.

God/Jesus is love that includes Joy that, unlike happiness does not depend on circumstances to exist. So if God is Joy, Joy includes laughter and humor. The difference in God's and christian humor is, it is clean humor, not dirty humor. Funny is funny until it is irreverant, rude and offensive to others as to hurt them. It's called RESPECT. And this, is the bright side of Life, not the dark side of life!!

Yes, that's why joy is mentioned in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is funny and I think people get offended more than God. He probably put those words in your mouth to lighten up the atmosphere.

He had to pay their taxes so he sent out Peter to catch a ¨fish and inside the fish was a gold coin. Bet the tax collector got a kick out of that story.

Jesus did not have a sense of humor. He cursed a fig tree for not bearing fruit for crying out loud.... I think it was out of season even, i can't be sure of that part, but if that's the case it's a clear illustration of a complete lack of a sense of humor.
