I asked some friends of mine about building muscle. Some (mostly wrestlers) say that I have to buy whey protein powder. Others (mostly gymnasts) say that it's a waste of money and you'll gain extra fat. So yeah, I was hoping a person who has a proffesion in this kind of stuff can help me.

They are not necessary, but are useful. Whey is a fast acting protein. I use it after weight training to start repairing muscle ASAP. :)

Whey protein further on your cutting-edge, or any regiment has little or no of an impact except you figuring out on an exceedingly rigorous application (2 or extra hours of lifting an afternoon) and your foodstuff plan is lacking in protein. Protein from organic supplies i lots extra handy to your physique to interrupt down and use. It has no area effects, regardless of the certainty that your physique won't use all of it, and what isn't used would be excreted. while you're ingesting a perfect foodstuff plan that's stability at around 3-4000 energy, then you certainly won't choose the whey protein. i could basically propose increasing the intensity of your work out plan slightly, however effects incorporate time and staying power. Weight lifting can no longer impact your enhance in any way, purely a foodstuff plan lacking heavily lacking in dietary cost might desire to try this. Whey protein is obviously cutting-edge in milk.

whey protein isn't going to make anybody fat...protein is not readily stored as fat when in excess. the conversion of amino acids for use as stored energy uses more than is gained.

use whey after training and to bring up the protein content of any meals that may be lacking in protein.

when on a mass gaining diet remember that along with increasing the protein intake so does the carbohydrate and fat intake.

40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fats. if you are a competitive athlete in season you may need to go 30% protein and 50% carbs.

We need protein to build muscle. So shakes are a convenient way to obtain a minimum of 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight (Per Day) that you need to build muscle. I usually try for 1.5 grams per pound of body weight. Just remember the more protein you eat the more water you have to drink. We all should be drinking at least 1 gallon per day. I try for 1.5 gallons per day.

whey is very good and doesn't make you fat!
If you can't get that, eat lots of meat and egg WHITE not yolk.
