my bf of almost 4 months recently broke up...im a junior in high school and me and this guy have been really good friends since 8th grade....he told me i was different than all his ex gf's and he seemed to really like me....we were totally comfortable around each other.....and i could be myself and i loved that.....now that we r broken up we have only talked like once or twice...we broke up a month ago.....two of my really close friends(girls) still talk to him....and they asked him if he was just never going to talk to me again? he said no i just dont know when....and he said i will eventually...what does that mean??? how long does it take boys to feel comfortable around their ex's...because being a girl i know that they want to talk with their ex the day after they break up...but guys r different.....i want to contact him....should i call and just say hey havent talked to u 4 a while just callin to see how u r???ttyl...or should i email him?? i dont want to piss him off though..thanx

If he's mature enough then he should be able to handle talking to you again, but in his own time. If you broke up on good terms, that should make it easier. Maybe he just thinks it should be awkward so he is making it that way. Talk to him gradually -either email or otherwise- and ask him if there's something wrong and if he wants to talk about it.

Its a one-in-million happening that after being in a relationship two individuals can actual be good friends. I would call him, test the waters. Nothing ventured, nothing gain'd, but keep in mind your leading the charge here so don't expect him to know what to do or say. It takes some very mature people to make it work after the relationship, and him having multiple girlfriends, tells me he most likly isn't all that mature. Trust me, when you've truly love people, you don't have many multiples.... that just tells me he doesn't get very close to people, you on the other hand do...

While it's killing you until you talk with him again, it's really best to back off and give him his time and space. He's hurting from the break up, just as you are, and deals with it differently than you do. In time, he'll come around. just let him be.
