230mph is not really a correct answer. The term 'knots' is a velocity in reference to the medium in which an object (boat or plane) is traveling. On the ground a given speed in miles-per-hour is constant. A plane traveling at 200 knots will rarely if ever be going 230mph. '200 knots' is relative to the air around the plane. At altitudes at which planes fly the air is always in motion, and not just a slight breeze. Wind speeds of 20 to 60 miles-per-hour are normal, thus if a plane going 200knots is traveling in the same direction as a 30mph wind the plane is covering ground at 260mph. Conversely, the same plane going in the opposite direction is only covering ground at 200mph. Simply stated air and water have currents and knots are how the speed of craft traveling through these mediums is measured. But, those answers that stated 1knot=1.15mph are correct, but to say that a plane traveling at 200knots is going 230mph is the same as saying a broken clock tells the right time. Occasionally, its right.
The answer above states in err that a 'nautical mile' (measure of length) is 1 minute or arc at the equator, that is a 'geographical mile' which is literally just a few feet longer than a nautical mile. Neither of which have any real bearing on 'knots' (measure of speed) other than origination of semantics. Example: a boat doing 20 knots will NEVER travel exactly 200 nautical miles in ten hours while at sea.

RE:
Difference of knots compared to MPH?
Whats the difference of knots compared to MPH? For example Whats the miles per hour, if a plane is going 200 knots?

Big disagreement with Grey (Answerer above), the answers of 230 mph are correct. Knots and mph are mutually interchangable and differ by only basic unit length.
In terms of SI units
1 International Statute Mile is 1,609.344 meters
1 Nautical Mile is 1,852 meters and 1 knot is 1 nautical mile per hour.
or 1 International Statute Mile = 1.151 nautical mile (approximately)
200 (miles) x 1.151 (conversion factor) = 230.2 nautical miles
What Grey intended to say might have been the DISPLACEMENT of the craft doing 200 mph as indicated by a fluid pressure based speed measurement might not be 200 miles. This is true when the measuring device responds to RELATIVE VELOCITY. That is a totally different issue.
A modern GPS receiver can give speed readouts and you can bet anything that if it shows 200 knots for 1 hour, it HAS travelled 230 miles at the end of that hour (or 230.2 mph and 200 nautical miles)
*************** ***************** ***************** **************
Late Add-On: The 1 minute of an arc along the earth's meridian (or great circle) is the correct and accepted definition of the nautical mile. Nobody really uses the "geographical mile" these days.
The International Extraordinary Hydrographic Conference held in Monaco, 1929, adopted a definition of one (1) international nautical mile as being equal to 1,852 metres exactly. This value is very close (within 0.01 percent) to the average length of one minute of latitude (1852.235 m)

Clear as mud, huh? The AIRSPEED at 200 knots is 230 mph.
The ground speed(distance traveled over the ground) is equal to the speed the air mass is moving. If flying in a headwind of 30 knots the ground speed would be 200 mph. If flying in a tailwind the ground speed would be 260 mph.

A knot is 15% faster than a mph. So 20kn is 23 mph. Same conversion between the nautical mile and the mile.
