that being gay is bad? what does it say? Why does it say this? Do you think it is right to say this?

The bible says that men who lie with men will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for their sexual perversions.

It's only in the last 50 years that homosexuals are coming out of the closet and demanding rights.
Rights to what? God commanded men to procreate and fill the earth...gays don't get together to have children.
Sodomy in the law covenant was deserving of death....God will soon kill all those who will not stop the deplorable practices.
It is not natural. God said they forsook the natural use of women and worked what was obscene.

What don't you understand about...IT IS A SIN?
Why would you continue to do it if you knew God would kill you for it?
It isn't a gay gene...it is a choice you make.

You want to do that? Remove yourselves from society.

We are to hate what Jehovah hates and love what Jehovah loves. God hates the act of homosexuality. God hates murder. God hates stealing. He hates lying. He hates adultery and fornication. He is the judge of mankind. I can promise you if you do not change your ways you will lose your everlasting life according to what I read in the scriptures.

The bible is open to interpretation and many people interperet different passages to help mirror their own beliefs. Add to that, there are different "versions" of the bible and many, many different religions. I believe in god and I am catholic but I also know there are passages in the bible that can be interpreted in gay-friendly ways as well.

I have a friend with a 9 year old son. I was there when he was born. We both knew when he was about a year old that he was gay. We turned to each other in a supermarket and mentioned it at the same time. I saw how the boy was raised. there was no influence on him either towards or against. He's a normal kid who happens to be gay. As he's grown older, it's grown more obvious. It doesn't bother his mom or his father because they know he was simply born that way (and so do I). If God is indeed creating us in his image than...well, there you go. If i'm in his image than he must tell pretty bad jokes :-)

I personally feel that God is far more gentle and well rounded than the vengeful God we've been taught to believe in. I'm not sure I would look to the bible for your answer. If you are simply curious or perhaps really troubled, then talk to a priest or your pastor. Just don't let anyone judge you k? :-)

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When a person continues in sin and disbelief, the Bible tells us that God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

As to why does it say this - because the people who wrote the bible didn't like gays.

Do I think it is right to say it - I believe that it is as right to say that being gay is bad as it is right to say that being black is bad or being a women is bad or being a different religion is bad. Hatred is hatred and it is wrong no matter who says it or where it is written.

Leviticus, I forget where exactly but it's in there somewhere. Also in Romans 1. I think there is more, it does say it's bad. Any sin in general is bad. But if you are trying to confront somebody about it, you shouldn't. Who ever is free from sin can cast the first stone. Tell them about Jesus and thats it, Jesus said that the first thing any person should do is tell him the good news about him, and then it's between them and God.

To the second question, no. There is no moral reason to say that homosexuality is wrong since it hurts no one. Some are offended by it... and that is all.

several places. and to clarify, God isn't all that concerned what "feelings" you have, but what life you live. so technically, you could have a hormonal disorder but if you believe gay is wrong, do not condone homosexuality, and do not commit homosexual acts, then you're on the straight and narrow (emphasis on straight). urges don't make you a sinner, giving into them does.
