Well! I've been watching you here and there and I must say that this is the most sensible words I ever saw you write... I mean, it's not a bad question at all... I would welcome an opportunity to speak with you as I feel I understand your dilemma... You might however have managed to throw out the baby with the bath water as they say in your language when you recognized the Church for what it was and similtaniously opted to lose whatever faith you had in God Himself as a result. He is not and never will be the one to create such hypocrite religions... All he did was for a reason that will soon become manifested after Armageddon and I truly hope to see your pretty face there... If I say "pretty face", it's because I checked your profile as well and noticed that you say that it is there for you and you alone... as though you have been made somehow to trust in yourself alone and think of yourself as your only savior... I've been there! Just as He shook me up and got me back better than ever, I suspect He might be doing the same to you and your question here above, is my indication of that... Remember how Jesus told Thomas that because he saw the holes in his hands, feet, and side, he believed? He added: "happy are those who have not seen and who yet believe!" for what did he say? "The Kingdom of God will be theirs?" (something like that!)
Paul, used to be "Saul" and a persecution of the true Christians or followers of Jesus. He was only half Jew and was a high official in the Roman army... His job was to slaughter Jesus' followers so it's for sure than no such man would give up his position to humbly begin to follow a man they had been taught up until now to slaughter! And because I have read all of what you posted, I can tell you that it is quite easy for God or any one else for that matter, to project His voice into whatever he wants to use to make a point or to speak, as it were, to any human being, who could never see God and live... He is way too brilliant... With Moses, it was a burning bush! Why! Satan himself did the same thing by projecting his own voice into the serpent... When you open your heart as it once was, you will understand more than you ever will. The lying influence of false religion won't be there anymore to hunt you with its nonsense lies... May God bless you and touch that good heart of yours once more... as even a puny human like myself sees through your pain... Imagine what all He sees! Just now even and in the name of His son Jesus, our King and redeemer, why don't you join me in praying for his active force, (spirit) to give you a little nudge to do just that? He won't refuse! I promise!!! No more than you would give one of your two wonderful children a dirty stone if they were to ask you for a slice of bread!!! Take care!!! Teri, who cares too!

Paul was chosen to write many of the books that define Christianity. I am glad I was not chosen for the extreme life of sacrifice that Paul was chosen for. I think that was a very difficult task he was given and I imagine that is why he was given the personal visit. The rest of us will see Christ, either at our Resurrection or if we are still alive during the Second Coming.
**Edit
The odds that the Roman guards or the Jewish mob would allow Jesus to be removed from the cross alive are zero. They all had a stake in Him dying and staying dead. It was this zeal that has left so much evidence that He was killed and rose on the third day. For goodness sake, they posted a guard at His grave.

Hi Hetty! This seems like a reasonable question to me. The thing at issue here is attitude. There are a number of people in the scripture who received signs of various kinds without being rebuffed. There are also people who were strongly rebuked and told that "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign." The difference? Attitude. One demanded a sign because they needed a bit of help IN ORDER TO BELIEVE. The others demanded a sign since they had decided that Jesus was a fraud and were demanding "Prove me wrong."
There IS a logical, rational scientific experiment which you can perform, and God won't be offended at all. Curious? Email me for details. thomas_e_lafferty@yahoo.com

1. Text of Heb.11:1
2.Blessed are those who have not seen, but believe. (Paraphrasing Jesus appearance after the resurrection to Thomas).
3. He apparently had an extra special mission for Saul/Paul.

EVEN IF Jesus appeared they WOULD NOT BELIEVE HIM!
Jesus will reign here on the Earth for 1000-years as Satan will be bound to the Pit for that time!
With Perfect World Peace and No Crime Nor Any Injustice as Jesus Reigns for that time = = Even After All THIS.....
Satan will be Loosed AND DECEIVE NATIONS which will GO AGAINST GOD, and Be Destroyed!
THIS why you won't have a sign......
(Matthew 12:39-40) But He answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. And there shall be no sign given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
(Mat 12:40) For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so the Son of Man shall be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Thanks, RR

Yeah I asked that same question before and never got any good answers. Why does God/Jesus single out certain people for a personal visit and leave the rest of us guessing. I'm certain that a personal visit from Jesus would change my life, and it hasn't happened so far, so does that mean I'm not as important ?
Would Noah, Abraham, or Moses have been great people if God hadn't personally talked with them and guided them. Sounds kind of unfair that they got this special treatment, but I don't. I could be somebody special too if I had God coaching me....

I don't just want a visit on the road with a spiritual Jesus, I want the full Thomas treatment. The disciple Thomas, who had been with Jesus for years during his ministry, got to stick his hands into the very wounds of the bodily resurrected Jesus.
He should do no less for each of us before we are sent to hell for not believing.
A note to those who use the words of Jesus to Thomas. I am perfectly willing to accept second class status in heaven. Those of you who believed without seeing can go to the head of the line. Still, Jesus said Thomas, Paul, and all those who only believed after they had seen would still be saved. Why doesn't this still apply?

Luke never saw Him resurrected, and got saved. Same with Constantine, and just about every child of God who has ever lived or currently lives. so if people can be saved without seeing Christ, then why show up? we're even called blessed for having more faith!
also, if people saw Him they'd say "poltergeist!" or "alien" or "I need to stop inhaling that stuff!". there are a lot of doubters. Even Thomas, one of His disciples didn't believe Him when he saw Him (he had to put his fingers through the holes in His hands).

Primarily, because believing in Him is the basis of salvation because the Bible even says that we're greater believing in Him on the Word of God alone and not having seen Him. This is where faith comes in.
Second of all, I always wondered why God didn't just part the clouds and say, "I'm here. I'm real." but God showed me that people would still doubt. This is where faith comes in yet again.
Third, Jesus makes Himself real to me everyday. I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that He is real. I walk with Him and I talk with Him and He is as real to me as the person sitting next to me...maybe more real since He knows all of me.
Cheers!

Jesus also told him how much he must suffer for His name. I don't thing we want that. There is a good reason why Jesus will not appear like that to anyone. Today we would setup a shrine like Lourdes and consider the spot "holy". Way too much of that going around these days.
