Of course not.
How would my marriage work without God as the center?
It wouldn't.
I believe that, and I am thankful I have a husband who loves the Lord.
Jesus Christ is the cornerstone! And we stand firm in Him, He is OUR ROCK!

This is something I would have to think very carefully about. Speaking for myself, I have very strong Christian beliefs and if I had met a man who didn't share those beliefs but was respectful of them......maybe a marriage would work but it would be tough. If it was a difference of denominations, I'm sure something could probably be worked out but say a Christian and an atheist or a Christian and Muslim.....recipe for disaster I'd say.

Well, I would certainly never marry a clone of myself, so there will always be different and opposing views ... It would just depend on which views and how severely different they were and how severely it would affect our relationship. Some opposition and difference is a good thing.

i imagine ,between many different issues, that Mutual respect is an major element in any lengthy time period relationship. As a Firmly held non secular conception,is ordinary to that individual's experience of self, the respect required ,should be a step to a strategies, for me. the relationship should be in preserving with deep hypocrisy on my section. It doesn't paintings.

Depends. If the beliefs were well defended and supported by evidence, yes. If they were simply superstitious nonsense, no: I require a minimum level of intelligence (130+ IQ) in my significant others.

Yes I would depending on what befiefs we differ on.

Before we got married, we would have to really be able to accept eachothers different views on things so they didn't become huge issues later.

I did. My husband is an atheist and I'm an agnostic.

And before anyone tries to say they are the same thing... it isn't. My husband believes we die and become worm food. That their is nothing except the life we are given. Agnostics believe that their is something more but we aren't sure it is "God."

Yes. I wouldn't care as long as he respected my own beliefs.

Actually I did, though he's since converted LOL but even if he didn't I'd be with him anyway. As long as they are a good person I don't care what faith they are.
