when I turn on my RCA tv I can hear it turn on but there is no sound or picture, not even a blue screen, it is just black, I know it is on cause I can bring up the on screen menu just fine, any idea what the problem could be?

the problem is that your power source for the tv has died(assuming youve adjusted the brightness settings to make sure thats not the problem) i hate to tell ya but it'll be cheaper to buy a new tv than fix that one.

Seems like input/output issue. Check that all the cables are plugged in correctly, and that the TV is setup to the right input (Cable, DVD etc). Shuffle through the inputs (your remote should have an input button) to find the stuff you're looking for. Again, make sure everything is plugged in correctly and turned on.

Sounds like you don't have your "source" connected correctly. Source meaning: DVD, VHS, CABLE, SATELLITE...Try hooking up a DVD player or something to test it. If it works you will know that it isn't your TV that is broken, it's just that you have it connected improperly.

Maybe you have it on another input like VCR, DVD or the like that isn't switched on. You would have to find the "input" key on your TV or remote and see if you can switch it to the TV mode.

If you have cable or dish, check to make sure they are on also.

Give them everyday target of studies and take feedback when u come back home. u have to be a bit strict in this matter. Tell them the stories of boys and girls who have succeded in life because of studies.
