My husband wants to get a tattoo but he has an mri within a month can he still do it.

Yes he can get a tattoo. The problem comes from old tattoo inks which contained metals. Newer inks are safe for MRI's. He will be asked if he has any tattoos before the scan, and told to alert the tech. if there are any problems

But he might be more
comfortable if he waits.
That MRI machine is so
confining. It's like being
shoved into a bullet casing.
Different people heal at
different rates. Might not
feel so good, if he is still sore.

only if he is getting an actual prison tattoo, which uses inks that have mettalic fragments, but still i woiuld think an mri would not matter still, but i know a regular tattoo will be fine

Yes.

Things that would disqualify you for an MRI include:
Pregnancy
Claustrophobia
Intolerance to the contrasting agent
Physical limitations
