No....remember when Jesus says...love your neighbor...there is no asterick that allows ANY group to be excluded from that commandment.

No it doesnt. As a Chrisitian you are suppose to be kind to others and plant seeds. Tell people about the Lord. Insulting people just makes others look at Christianity and say I dont want to be like that. They just go around insulting people. The Bible says to love your neighbor as your self. Treat others in a way you would like to be treated. I do not think you want to be insulted a lot. The Golden Rule says do unto others as you want others to do unto you. If you want people to insult you then insult them. If you want people to be nice to you then be nice to them!

The "Christians" who post here are the most "unchristian-like" characters I've ever read! I often want to remind them to stop and think: "WWJD?!" before they write a single thing! I certainly cannot imagine Christ saying half of the stuff I've read posted by so called Christians about Jews, Blacks, Catholics and Muslims.

some comments made by both christians and nonchristians may be insults
many comments reflect the truth..about obvious discrepancies
the topic of islamic terrorism should not be ignored because people want to show how tolerant they are...this leads to getting one's head blown off..ignoring this danger is cowardly..it has to be dealt with head on...

No. I am a Christian and my hope is that we can live in peace with the Muslims someday soon, like we have for over a hundred years.

no! a christian is one who has accepted jesus christ into there heart, and follows him as his deciple with a personal relationship. christians don't insult islam to be a christian. they fight islam as a false religion and attempt to destroy. but not by violence or insults, but by using the truth to knock it down.

in short, no. Jesus basically said don't be influenced by them, but trash talking gets you no-where. it's even considered wrong (sinful).
the ultimate goal of how to live your life should be to live like Christ (with the exceptions of the virgin birth and dying for the sins of the world). so basically, you should try to be like Jesus.
look how Jesus lived His life: He was God incarnate, so He could potentially be the most worshipped man on Earth if He wanted to; But look who He hung out with:
Matthew the tax collector. tax collectors were not only unpopular because they worked for the gov't, but because they often overtaxed...
Simon Peter the fisherman. Mouth like a sailor, making minimum wage, uneducated, and generally a coward who talked-the-talk but couldn't back it up...
Simon the Zealot. Ex-jewish radical who wanted to overthrow Rome by violent means...
Thomas the doubter. Would you befriend a guy who didn't belive a word you said?
and then you know of Joseph of arimithea, who burried Him (pharisee), Saul/Paul (pharisee, jewish radical who killed Christians), and John the Baptist (social outcast by choice).
he didn't belittle them, as we aren't to belittle others.
