I drink apple juice or orange juice. Keep it natural and healthy!

red bull and coffee are not good because they speed up your heart rate and so when you are training it will make your heart go too fast (because your heart will already be going fast while traning) and you can have a heart attack or pass out. lots of people do it but i do not recommend it.
you need to be drinking water fluently throughout the day then after the training drink drinks high in carbs (stuff like Gatorade, Propel, Other sports drinks) that will give you back some of the sugars and salt and carbs you lost while training.

I don't believe it is what you eat or drink that gives you the stitch, Make a BANANA and EGG milkshake!! It may sound icky but I do it and I am burst with energy!!! Ingredient: 1-2 bananas 1-2 RAW egg (yolk and white) Milk of your choice, (I use goats milk and almond milk) 1-2 tablespoons of drinking chocolate (there is no way I would drink that milkshake without it tasting like chocolate!!) lol Put it in a blender and blend until frothy and well mixed and enjoy!!!

As a consistent weightlifter, I take caffeine before my workouts. It's great for concentration, intensity and caffeine has been known to inhibit pain receptors in your body. During bulking season,I take a whey protein shake (with just water) and quick carbs like a couple slices of white bread as a preworkout "meal".

An apple, banana or other piece of fruit is best. It will energize you without caffeine, unlike coffee and red bull

with the exception of early morning training I always try to eat 1.5-2 hours before training with a quality protein and a slow burning carb like oats, lentils, beans, etc.. that way there is always sufficient energy for training.

water or gaterade, sometimes vitamin water. dont drink coffee, it usually makes ur tummy not feel good. and remember: if your exhausted from ur training thats a good thing - "pain is weakness leaving the body" (one of swim coaches told me that)
