It depends on what you are specifically looking for; if you are looking for a period accurate uniform, I strongly suggest you visit Moore Militaria; they specialize in selling uniforms and field equipment for reenactors, including accesories to build period weapons like M16A1 rifles to fire blanks.
Their uniforms range from $120 for an OG-106 field uniform (like the ones in the movie "We Were Soldiers") to $150 for a basic Jungle Fatigue set (like the ones used in the movie "Full Metal Jacket" or "Platoon"); the sets include troausers, jacket, belt, name tags, patch and rank.
For $220 you get the above mentioned items, plus boots, socks and an OD undershirt. You can get an OD Boonie hat for like $14 at a local shop.
Stuff like an M1 steel helmet with a "Mitchell" cover, an M67 flak jacket or an M17 gas mask would cost you anywhere from $50 to $200 depending on where you find it. You can scour eBay for deals on web gear, uniforms and some of the heavy stuff like PRC-57 pack radios, M72 LAW rocket tubes, M7 bayonets and other harder to find items.

I sold my dress blues to another officer prior to my ETS.
Over the years I used my fatigues as part of my Halloween costumes when handing out treats.. Of course only after removing my name, US ARMY, rank, branch insignia, unit patch, etc. Anything that identified it as a military uniform.
It was a matter of respect....
The only thing I still have is my field jacket...
I imagine any Army surplus store or thirft shops will have some for sale...and they won't be expensive.

Jeeze! I have several packed away someplace....
They can't be rare, except field jackets, which we all wore after service.
