Make sure all fuses are good. Check the cable to see if it is connected to the throttle body and to the cruise control servo. Check to see if the cable is faulty. The switches on the steering wheel are prone to failure.

I have checked fuses and they are a GO
But How exactly do i check the throttle body and servo?

Ok have you had the recall done at a Ford dealer for the cruise control?

If the switch leaks, it will blow that fuse in the jumper Ford installed inline and you will have no cruise control...

If you have a factory cruise, and HAVEN"T had the recall done.. go to the ford dealer to have it done.. sometimes what the recall affects cause a no cruise condition, the other is fire

Basically the checks you made above... when removing the connector off of the cruise control module, with a test light probe it.. should have two with power on it... If they don't.. a fuse (or the switch is bad.)

there is a cable that goes from the drivers side to the middle of the engine.. basically they want you to take the cover off and see if the cable is basically lying limp and off of the engine (right next to where it mounts for the other cable)

You may have error codes for the cruise. Check them out. The dealer will just replace the control module in most cases. It is about a grand to fix as I recall.

Time to buy a new truck. A 10 year old ford is way past its time.
