read up on the story about the two Border Patrol Agents that went to jail for 11 and 12 years for shooting a drug smuggler in the butt. The smuggler had 700 lbs of Marijuana and never did a day in jail.....as a matter of fact, he is suing the US for 5 million.....He was caught smuggling another 700 lbs and was let go again....

As far as I know they weren't convicted and there was no trial. Just because they weren't convicted in a court of law doesn't mean they're not guilty. Rape and sexual assault cases are very hard to prove, in fact of all the rapes that occur it is estimated that only 10% are reported to police. Of these over half are closed after initial investigation and only 10 - 15% make it to trial. Of the cases that make it to trial only a small number of defendants are found guilty. Keep in mind that it is often hard to find physical evidence of a rape - the presence of semen only proves that intercourse occured, not whether it was consensual or not.
Just because there wasn't enough evidence to support a prosecution doesn't mean that the woman is lying. Rape is a very serious crime and victims claims should not be dimissed so flippantly.

The justice system is not corrupt, you just had a terrible DA in North Carolina. With the ever-changing story of the "victim", these men should NEVER have been arrested or charged with rape.

you obviously didn't watch much of the news reports on this. This girl was obviously lying. They caught here many times in lies. The media is to blame for making these young men look guilty. The media refuses to show the facts all the time. I think justice was served. You might want to read up on this girl. She has had a very troubled past.

You do know they never went to trial, they were never convicted, there was no case ever.
What you heard and what you saw was all in the media, they assused the men, they decided that they were guilty and they went after them in the papers and on the raido and TV.
So no it is not our justice system, they decided they were not guilty and droped all the charges, you can thank our news medica for what you beleive was true

We do it everyday. Poor people who can't afford high priced lawyers take plea bargains because it's the easy way our. Justice is only for the rich or whomever the ACLU deems worthy.

Thier was no evidence they did anything and tons of evidence they did nothing.
Have you read the headlines about the three men already released from prison because DNA evidence proved after spending as much as 25 years in prison they were innocent.
Lets get the real crooks not just anyone.

Not our justice system, just the liberal media who convicted them in the press.

They weren't convicted. There wasn't enough evidence for a trial. It wasn't perfect, but justice was likely served.
