Just to add to the other answers, Check out this cool little restaraunt called Serendipity 3. The decor is adorable and the enviroment is very cozy and cute. I totally recommend the CARROT CAKE!!! Im telling you, it's amazing! It has a pretty impressive history but ya wouldnt know by looking at it from the outside (its kinda tucked away in between the other buildings) There's actually a movie called Serendipity, which centers around this restaraunt and the meaning of its name. That and a few other reasons, is why the wait can be really long on the weekends.

Try Dave & Buster's right on 42nd and 8th. It's got food, it's got video games, and most important, skee ball!

Central Park is also within a mile of Times Square. Try the Central Park Zoo and the Wolman skating rink.

Also the new and improved Museum of Modern Art is fairly close by.
