Are you 1000% sure about that wolfblayde????
And, isn't Jesus considered a loved one? I mean, come on, he did die for us.
Exodus 20:4, 5: You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me.

You're referring to the cross Jesus died on. Well no I wouldn't wear it. I believe Jesus did not die on a cross like millions of people around the world believe. In the Bible the Greek word "stauros" mean and upright stake not a cross. And even if it was a cross why would you wear it? It symbolizes the shame and humiliation he went through.

Oh give it a rest, will you? This question gets asked in some asinine form about five times a week, and all it would take is for you to look up the previous gazillion answers, rather than wasting bandwidth by asking it yet again. You're not being cute or clever, despite what you may think.
The Cross is a symbol of our faith, and we wear it as such. The truth is that our sins killed Jesus, and the Cross represents the means whereby we received our salvation.

Its funny some people doesnt see the analogy.
As for me, I think my reaction would be, if not for this thing my loved one is still alive...
I'll avoid whatever killed a person I love so as not to remember the pain.
And yes, Jesus is not in that cross anymore nor is he a helpless baby, Jesus rules in the Messianic Kingdom. Also he did not say remember the cross but said remember his death (stated during the last supper).
Btw, the cross is the phallic symbol of the god tammuz...

Depends on the weapon. Is it a sword? A super cool Katana? If so, then maybe.
I see what you're getting at here. I don't care if people wear symbols of their religion, that's fine. But I would prefer if they were kept underneath their shirt. It really annoys me that this kid in my class wears a HUGE wooden cross with a silver bleeding Jesus. To me, that's just overkill. I got hit in the head with that thing once, and I got so pissed off because
a.) He should have had it under his shirt like the school rules tell him to. The teachers (minus two or three out of a faculty of 50+ people) never enforce it with Christians (And no, I don't go to a Christian school or live in a small Christian town.) but the one time I forgot to tuck my UU Chalice necklace, which is only the size of a quarter, under my shirt, and I got three demerits for it.
b.) It hurt like hell. The metal Jesus was rough and it bruised the back of my head, not to mention cutting a three inch long gash, which, luckily, was not deep, (but none too shallow either.) down the back of my head.
c.) He told me it was "divine punishment" for not believing in god. I mean, how sick can you get?
So, I think I was totally justified in yanking him down by the leather string of the necklace, and punching him in the face. The teachers disagreed. And apparently, I have more strength than I give myself credit for, because I broke his nose. Hahha! He still wears that thing to school, and he hasn't washed my blood off of it. Is he some kind of sick freak, or is it just me? I mean, who walks around with a necklace covered in blood?
Sad as it may sound, I actually had this typed up in a word document, just waiting for someone to ask this question. I was about to delete it too! Weird. =)

For many people, the cross IS a symbol of senseless murder.
Many, many people of religions other than Christian have been murdered over the bloody 2000 year history of Christianity by cross carrying people on their mission to take over the world and all its people. Many indigenous and native peoples were murdered by cross carrying people, as well until they were basically wiped out.
So no, I would never wear a cross because too many peoples have been murdered by those for whom this symbol is a part of their religion.
Christians need to understand that the cross is a terror symbol for many people around the world, including Jews and Muslims, Native Americans, and the indigenous peoples in Australia, Africa, and elsewhere around the world who were either forced to convert or be slaughtered. It isn't a symbol of love whatsoever, to many people.

For people that don't understand this, the poster is talking about a crucifix.
And no, I wouldn't, and I don't, becuase I'm an atheist. I do think that the crucifix has a different meaning for people who wear it, though--it's more a spiritual symbol, not quite as morbid.

I truly ought to assert i replaced into presented as a lot as see the flow as an emblem, a reminder of the sacrifice made so as that we will be forgiven. no longer that we were to worship it. honestly certain denominations make it look like the flow itself is worshipped. i replaced into in no way tender with the trinity or worshipping the son....yet now i'm an atheist, so possibly my previous adventure is inappropriate.

The cross question again eh? It is a reminder to us that he was treated in the worst possible way. Yet we will exchange it for a crown as the words of that beautiful old hymn says in "The old rugged Cross."

good question.
I would not.
But I do wear a cross, as a symbol of the suffering Jesus went through for my sins. And as a reminder to myself when I start getting edgy.
