Use an encased computer power supply. Make sure that it's waterproof, or mounted in a location where it can't get wet. I'm using one to power my shop radio right now. It's an Ultra ATX 500 watt psu rated at 28 amps @ 12V. It only cost $30 including shipping and the voltage is highly regulated. I actually bought a pair of them so I can power my test bench for larger amplifiers. You can get a cheaper model if you want, because like everyone here said, you don't need more than 10 amps. As far as the speakers, make sure not to get them wet, or buy some marine equipment instead. Same goes for the radio.

I agree with Sparky, except that for an in-dash CD player connected to only two speakers, a power supply rated for 7-10 amps should be plenty. DC power supplies cost more for higher current capacity; a 10 amp unit will cost less than a 15 amp. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=120-538

You'll need a power supply capable of pushing about 10-15 amps of current at 13.8 VDC. Something like this http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103960&cp=2032056.2032145&parentPage=family
Look around though, you can find them so much cheaper than this. The outlet you plug this into is recommended to be a GFI (Ground Fault Interupt) outlet for safety.
Just be aware that if ANY water comes in contact with the system, oxidation will occur on the circuit boards and will cause failure.

You know how some items you buy from the store have this big box looking thing that you plug into the wall then wires come out to plug into whatever it is your powering? Well that my friend is in fact a 120V to 12V transformer. If you have an extra one lying around the house, you can just use that, cut the end off of it, test the polarity of the wires (which is +, which is -) and wire that up to your car radio. BUT!! Check the ratings on the "box" of the plug itself because it will say just how much it puts out. For example, a cell phone charger only puts out about 4.5 volts, while other things may put out as much as 15 volts. You may not need 15, so try to see if you have something that says 12-14 volt output. And wire your speakers just as you would normally to the color coded wires on the back of the radio!
Good luck!

definite, yet you ought to need a device to rework your position power (110v AC) to the style of power utilized in a vehicle (12v DC). those will be offered at an section like Radio Shack. also, you ought to need to provide an suited enter. the ease of this may remember on the layout of the subwoofer and the CD participant. A subwoofer does no longer reproduce the completed decision of sound (in elementary words the low frequencies) so in case you feed it an enter that has the completed decision of sound, you receives undesirable distortion from the better frequencies until eventually the subwoofer has a outfitted in clear out. notwithstanding, you'll want a clear out to strip out the severe frequencies (and a separate thanks to advance/produce the severe frequencies) or a flow over to split the severe frequencies (which could be despatched to different amplified audio device) and the low frequencies (which could be despatched to the subwoofer). in case you CD participant has a separate subwoofer output, it may cope with it internally...yet you ought to nevertheless want different audio device/amplifier. finally, you want to ensure what type of enter you want (line out or headphone) that the sub calls for and make certain in case your CD participant has the right output. in short, it will be performed yet relies upon on how bored you're.
