I understand 100 grand but more to the point the media paid good money to get the story of a marine who told us he cried when the Iranians told him he looked like Mr Bean.
Are these the descendents of the generation who fought the Battle of Britain and stormed the beaches at Normandy?

Makes you want to get taken prisoner. Quickest way to get rich I can think of! You don't have to be brave or anything. Just cave, confess, and you will appear on TV and be rolling in it!

I heard it was £100,000 for the Trevor McDonald interview, plus more (not specified) for newspapers. Anyway I heard (not verified yet though) she is going to donate it all to the RN benevolent fund for widows of those who have died in service. Isn't that sweet?
