That's got a lot to do with the reason I'm agnostic even though I feel you are aiming this at agnostics. I don't actually feel that the whole thing is literally 'unknowable' since that would mean I'd have to call the believers 'liars' or 'delusional'. Same goes for the people who 'know' there is no God. I'd have to say they are full of crap too. That's unfair to everyone and I'd be saying I'm the only one who 'knows' anything (which is nothing). I'm agnostic because I, personally, find it 'unknowable' MYSELF and I don't know if I will ever be able to know the big 'answer'. I can only speak for myself and I can't even speak for others who call themselves agnostic. All it is is that I don't know and I'm not swayed either way by what others claim to know. I'm most comfortable this way. Just because I don't know something it doesn't mean there isn't anyone out there that does know (though I do tend to feel that no one really knows, honestly)
I'm basically saying I agree with you and I think I understand your question.

No. What is arrogant is to assume that everyone ought to believe as you do that you you've got it all figured out for everyone.
You define your deity into non-existence by giving him attributes that lead anyone with a lick of common sense to dismiss it because of all the contradictions and the just plan illogical nature. A basic assumption of monotheism, one that is felt so strongly that monotheists rarely find it necessary to speak aloud, is that this God is a perfect God. By perfect most monotheists believe that God is without beginning or end, without form, without equal, lacking in nothing, all-powerful, supremely good, untouched by passion or change. Most monotheists assume that God created the world or Cosmos and that he remains supremely aloof from his creation. Since that which is named is no longer God, as Aristides said, this God must remain essentially Unknowable.

Agnostics simply state that the concept of the existence or non existence og a higher power is unknowable. Agnostic Theists say that they believe that a god exists but the don't know for sure. Agnostic Atheists say that they don't believe that god exists but that they don't know for sure. Then there are Agnostics who are in between the two. Anyway you misinterpret what Agnostics are saying. Also just because you believe that your god is the right one that doesn't mean that you know for sure. You and people who say that they know for sure are arrogant and ignorant. If anything you should learn more about Agnosticism. Hell you should even learn more about other religions as well. Anyway I win and you lose. Hell Maurice even Deists don't accept your interpretation of God. Just give me the best answer already. Peace!!!!!!!!!

I find the "There's no God and you'll all just deluded" routine to be arrogance and ignorance taken to a new level. Atheists and agnostics say that we cannot prove there is a God, but by the same token, they cannot *disprove* His existence, either. And there is a great deal of evidence that Christ was indeed Who He claimed to be and that He arose from the dead.
So for a non-believer to tell me that I am crazy, retarded, deluded, or any of the other terms that they love to throw around is about as arrogant as anything ever gets to be. Personally, I think there's a lot more evidence on our side than theirs, but I don't go around telling them that they're insane or deluded.

You have it slightly wrong. Believers say they know that there is a god and that they know it's nature without regard to evidence, facts, etc.
Non-believers are unconvinced by this. They say 'if you cannot prove your statment, your statement is not verifiable and therefore I do not believe your statement is accurate.'
We don't assume that nobody knows god, we assume that there simply is no god to know in the first place.
Arrogance is in making an assertion, not denying that assertion.

I find it is those who are on the extremes on both ends of this stick who are the most arrogant and ignorant. Those of us in the middle do not presume to shove our beliefs down anyone's throat, but instead do what we were taught and "Live and let Live".

Most people don't say that it's ignorant or arrogant for the simple reason that you have faith in your God, they think it's ignorant and arrogant for them to say things to the effect that everyone else needs to believe in THEIR God. (The attitude that everyone else is ignorant for NOT believing the same things they believe, or deserve to suffer eternal torture in Hell for not believing the same things that they believe.)

I don't think belief in a God is ignorant and I don't think disbelief in a god is ignorant.
Neither the existence or absence of a god can be proven, so neither view is presumptuous.

I think it's equally as arrogant to assume that nonbelief is God the only truth.
