Sex exists before marriage. I believe in it. But it is not good. Sex is designed by God to be best in a lifelong relationship between a man and a woman. Sex is best as a lifelong spiritual conversation of intimacy between two people.

Along with all other kinds of sexual immorality, sex before marriage / premarital sex is repeatedly condemned in Scripture (Acts 15:20; Romans 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:13,18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7). The Bible promotes abstinence before marriage. Sex before marriage is just as wrong as adultery and other forms of sexual immorality, because they all involve having sex with someone you are not married to. Sex between a husband and his wife is the only form of sexual relations that God approves of (Hebrews 13:4).

It would depend on the person I suppose. I think its only practical to have sex before marriage. Its stupid to think that a relationship will work without sex-no matter what people say it is an important part of any marriage. I am by no means saying go around and be a slut, but if you truly love someone then I dont think God would see it a sin to do something out of love.

the catholic church teaches that sex before marriage is wrong, most other christian denominations that i am aware of teach the same thing. the reason being is sex reaches its greatest pleasure at conception with one whom you are fully united to,the reason for sex should become "to make love" and have children with that person you love, not some stranger or someone who may leave you after all is said and done,so to speak. for more reasons or more articulate reasons join the catholic answers forum at www.ewtn.com,this site has a panel of experts some forums have catholics and non catholics aswell. catholic or not it will answer whatever question you may have regarding this and other things you may be interested in finding out.

Sex before marriage should happen only if the relationship is between two consenting ADULTS & is solid, with mutual love & respect on the part of both partners. I do not believe in "recreational sex," but it's not realistic to deny the feelings when you truly care about someone and want a lifetime committment with them. I don't believe religious affiliation has anything to do with it.

Im a Christian, and know that from scripture it is wrong for a person to have sex before marriage. It is not part of God's plan for us. Sex is for the marriage bed.

Catholics are christians by the way.......anyway as a reformed catholic I say sex between two informed, mature adults is perfectly fine - married or not married. Do 16 to 19 year olds fall into that category? Not many if any.

Logically think this one out.
If you do have sex before marriage then both of you chose to compromise what God wants for you in order to satisfy a desire of the flesh. If you chose to compromise on this decision what other decision are you or your partner willing to compromise when the flesh wants other pleasures as well?
If we follow God's order then we will encompasses a relationship where respect and commitment are both prominent ideals in your relationship. "Husband love your wife like Christ loves the church, which he gave his life for." Ephesians 5:25
This way guards you from getting your heart broken, emotion problems down the road and possible sexually transmitted deceases that might come by pre-Martial sex. If you do have pre-Martial sex your view of yourself and sex in general will forever change.

First I'm a Christian.
And I believe what the bible teaches. The Bible teaches that marriage is to be between a husband or a wife.
Anything else is considered fornication (or adultery) and is forbidden or an abomination in the eyes of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9,10.
And as Christians, we are to love what God loves, and hate what he hates.
