There are many possibilities. One idea is that some of us are highly sensitive people. You can most likely find books written on this at the public library or do a search through amazon.com, check for used copies if you don't want to buy new.
The author of these books has a web site at http://www.highlysensitivepeople.com/
Remember, this is just one theory. Many people have all sorts of ideas on this, ultimately you will find out what is true for you.
Some physical health conditions can cause sensitivity also, for instance migraines can cause sensitivity to noise and light.
Fibromyalgia can include sensitivity to sensorary overload.
I'd suggest making sure first to have a thorough medical check up to make sure nothing physical is going on. Then I'd read up on various ideas on why some of us are more sensitive.
Being sensitive doesn't need to be a bad thing. Once you figure out how to live comfortably, you might find that being aware and alive is a gift.
Also you might need to learn to tell people who try to say that your opinions don't matter because "you are too sensitive" that they don't get to bully and abuse you.
Take care and good luck.

Some of us just wired to be more sensitive. It could be from
very critical parents. Living with people that are perfectionist.
Could be a medical problem. Could be depression. If it is
causing you alot of problems in functioning at work or family
or relationships it's time to ask a professional. It is ok to be
sensitive if if is working for you. If not it is better to talk to
someone who can help you.

Short answer: Because everyone is different.
Longer answer: Because everyone has different levels of sensitivity among the various senses & different levels of sensory integration aptitude i.e., the ability to process the sensory information once it is collected and sent to the brain.
If you want to look into this more, here are some topics to consider & Wikipedia links to get you started:

i think part of it is in our natural personality and maybe how we were raised, i relate the word sensitive in part to the word emotional, women as a whole i think are supposed to be more emotional and sensitive than men, i am a man and wish i was not so emotional but that's just the way i am.

It is just part of their personality. Just like some people are shy and some outgoing. It is in your DNA traits along with being tall or short, blonde or brunette. All that good stuff that makes everyone different.
