I went to the eye doctor, and he said i need glasses. I'm afraid that my bf will laugh at me. what should i do?

well i would say that glasses sometimes make people look better than they did before! dont even worry about tellin him. im sure he wont have a prob with it and if he does, then you know hes not the one for you. theres also the alternative of contacts. ask your doc about them. ive worn glasses for 17 years and i have an amazing fiance who tells me how sexy i am every chance he gets. i am a very lucky person and i am sure that if hes the right one for you, then youll be pleasantly surprised! best wishes :)

I don't think you should even concern yourself with this issue at all.
-There are so many cool looking glasses and many people look better and "hip" with their glasses on than off. If this so called bf laughs at you for wearing glasses to correct a vision problem than he is very insensitive to your needs and feelings you should dump him the minute he laughs if he laughs at all. Maybe you should have him go to the eye doctor with you to help you pick them out, then if he picks the ones you like also, he can't laugh at the glasses(not you) bc he picked them too.
Maybe they could fit you for contacts ? Did the doctor suggest them or did you think of wearing them yourself?

You need glasses, so what, millions of people wear glasses. If your boyfriend laughs it's because he's very immature. I wouldn't worry how others will react. You will get used to them and not even notice them.

If he laughs then he's an immature child and you should move on. Your sight is MUCH more important than worrying what anyone may think of you in glasses...plenty of people wear glasses, it's not odd or comical.

Well, my honest opinion is that why would it matter. I mean it's just glasses. Worse came to worse there is alternatives like contacts or even surgery. I wear glasses, so what people think of me is so kindergarten. And of course don't try to get nerdy glasses either.

Oh for God's sake just tell him.It's not the end of the world and why would he laugh at you anyway? Lots of us wear glasses.They're quite fashionable nowdays you know.
Wish I only had such a small thing to worry about.Heaven help you when something serious crops up.

Let him laugh. If you need glasses, you have to wear glasses. End of story. If you don't like how you look in them, try contact lenses.

Why dont u just wear contacts? They cant be seen and are easy to take care of. You could also ask him to pay for lasic eye sugery if he laughs at the glasses idea. ;-)

Girl if he care or love you it shouldn't matter that's your heath we talking about i hate wearing my glasses that's why my eyes are getting badder so don't be playing around let him know and if he do laugh he might just be playing hopefully good luck

Get him to help you pick out glasses. And then do that sexy thing girls with glasses do where they take them off slowly and play with the ends in their lips. Might even become hotter...
