It depends on the man and his level of maturity. Some men like do date a woman who is considerable younger because younger women makes them feel youthful again. There could also be mid-life crisis working here too.
My personal preference is that I am apprehensive of dating a woman who is under the age of 25. I admit the young ladies are nice to look at ;). But once you get one who is greater than a 10 year age difference, there are generational issues that come about. As a 36 year old man, my tastes, desires, wants and outlook on life reflects that of a 36 year old man.
On the same token, women 18-25 year old women may not be mature enough or be ready for a long-term relationship that I may want to persue at my age.

Most men, do not have a problem with dating a younger woman. As you become older, the range of eligible women increases, i.e., from about your own age, down to the age of consent.
