Think about it. Most everything we as a society eat has been threatened to extinction. The Bison, the deer, many different birds, many types of fish and Marine life, etc. Why don't we all start eating rats every day in an effort to make rats and roaches extict? Why don't we have gourmet restaurants in world cities like Beijing, New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Mexico city, London, Paris, Auckland, Sydney, Manila, Bangkock, Hong Kong, etc; that serve well prepared rats and roaches?

Think about how great this type of practice would be for the environment not having to spray poison on as many acres of fields, not having to have near as many Methane emmitting pastures of cows.

Due to all of the benefits, shouldn't us humans start binge eating on Rats and Roaches? Shouldn't we all start developing a taste for vermin in an effort to rid the world of vermin? And we should not just eat Rats and Roaches. Termites, mice, ants, locusts, ticks, fleas and spiders should be consumed as well.

I'll pass. I know that some people do that, but not me. Some people eat dogs and horses too. And in India the idea of eating a cow is repugnant. This reminds me of an article I saw in the paper once. It started out something like this:

Tired of snails eating your garden? Arm yourself with these tasty recipes.

It was instruction on how to catch snails and make Escargot, which in case you didn't know it is the French way of cooking snails. Yes, they are the very same snails that you find in your garden. I have eaten it, and it is good too. But only once. I ate chicken feet in Thailand. Or was it duck feet. I am not really sure now. There is an effort in Louisiana to get people to eat nutria, which are rat like animals that are out of control there. I don't think they are having much luck.

I think it is an excellent idea. They're plentiful and full of protein. In fact, I'm already thinking of some recipes:

Rat-tat-tooey, anyone?
Vermin-celli?
Mice cream?
Buenos roachas?
Ham-buggers and flies?
Skeeter tots?

Stop me now. I'm getting hungry.

Many countries do.It is here in the U.S.A we consider it taboo or too gross to do. I think we should stop eating all living creatures and eat our fellow HUMANS.
