hey y'all, i want to connect my car's subwoofer to my house amp, would the difference between the resistance (ohm) screw my speakers, or would it just work in a lame way?
cheers

It might work perfectly well; but many home systems are designed for 8-ohm speakers, while car audio speakers are usually 4-ohms. This won't harm the speaker but it could be a problem for your amp, though it's unlikely to cause damage if you don't abuse it.

at 4 ohms you are prolly ok as long as you do not have speakers hooked up to the "b" speakers. that may just compond the problem. also your sub will likely need a low pass crossover (see link below), typically part of the car amp, but home amps send full frequency. so you'll get frequency way higher than desirable without it.

I tried that with My sub. It produced a barely audible sound.
