In science class my partner and I are trying to figure out if the order of ingredients affect the outcome of a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe. We will first bake a batch from the instructions and then reverse the order for the second batch. If you have any info on anything related to this we would really appreciate it!

In baking, absolutely. You'll end up with a super tough cookie if you start with flour and try to add everything after that. Working flour causes the protein in it to create gluten,which makes a super tough dough. Great for bread (bread flour has even more protein), bad for cookies...Unless you want to use them as hockey pucks.
