religion is a set of beliefs... and people just live by them because they value them a lot, enough to live by, you know? that is all religion is. everyone has a choice to have a religion, some people are "atheist" and don't belive in a god. some are"christian" and belive in god. some just believe in chocolate. some believe in flowers. all in all, it is totally cool whatever you believe in, as long as you don't harm yourself or others. we have to get along together on this planet, whatever our religions are, because we are all we really have. and nature of course, but really, human beings are top priority. just kick back, go do something you haven't done before, and don't worry about why you and i and everyone is alive. there are too many things to do then to worry about something like that, even though it is a very good question. just relax, everything will be ok, life gets better and better :)

I could ask the same question of religious people. What the hell are you alive for? Just to worship and get a place in Heaven?

How many answers do you want? Aside from Self Preservation, e.t.c. Religion is not a reason to live, it is merely a moral "compass" which people seem to have lost without stuff like religion these days, but its' still nothing more than guidelines and that's it. There are still a huge amount of reasons to live, but I'm not gonna go into a list unless asked on this one.

You are right! Religion sends people to hell but a relationship with Jesus the King of Glory is not a religion. People everyday are being born into the family of God and Jesus is anonting them Kings and preparing them for His coming Kingdom. Those who reject Christ will not be apart of His kingdom so when you say "NO!" to Christ, you forfeit your rights to be His king and to his coming kingdom.

That would be very narcissistic of god to create man in order to have someone to worship him. We are alive because single celled organisms mutated and evolved creating ALL life - which includes animals, plants AND humans.
