Anna, If the angel is saying Islam is true religion, then obviously bible is either lies or half truths. So boring or not, what do you do when faced with a real hard choice?

THE OVERALL VERDICT TILL NOW IS THIS:

EVEN if GOD appeared and talked to me, I WOULD NOT GIVE UP THE FAITH I PRESENTLY AM IN.

So where does this leave God? He can't hope to show you the true way anyways.

Well, your question cannot be answered academically, as it is truly a spiritual question--the answer must be based on truth, logic, wisdom, and the heart, not merely empty "academia".
As a Christian, I would follow Jesus lead--when he was tempted, he quoted Scripture that applied to his situation. I would use these:
Galatians 1:7-9 (New American Standard Bible)
New American Standard Bible (NASB)

7which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

8But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

9As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed

From there, I would discuss what the Gospel is, and stand firm in my belief.

Christians are told to test the Spirits to see if they are from God (1 John 4:1). In fact we are instructed to test all things and only hold on to the good (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
According to the Word of God those whom the Lord will send will speak His Word (John 3:34; Jeremiah 23:22). So if the angel or bush or whatever was speaking the Word of God, I would listen, but if he, it, or whatever was not speaking te Word of God, I would cast it out in the name of the Lord Jesus!
In these last days God has spoken to us through His son Jesus according to the Word of the Lord written in Hebrews 1:1-2. So all of the speaking is already done and written down so that we can read it and rely on Jesus for understanding (1 John 5:20). Check the verses.

Believers are called to "try the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world" (I John 4:1)

Even sorcerers and demons know how to perform acts that appear as miracles. They mimicked Moses in Egypt, but could not bear the true force of God.

The Christian message holds true through all such scrutiny. Since God is incapable of lying and has already promised his message is true, he could not be the one bearing this witness. A true believer would know instantly that any prophet bearing this message is false. Unfortunately, Muslims, Mormons, and others were not so discerning.

I think he's really bored.... well the bible says that angels are not to change the gospel of christ...so if an angel came to me and told me i should be a muslim, i would say no thank you....to put it nicely.

***that was my point... the bible doesn't lie, it says not to listen to angels, prophets or anyone who changes it!

Gal 1:6-9

6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

******* EDIT #2: God does stand a chance... you only find Him if you seek Him with all of your heart... He actually led me to this religion because I was praying for what was right since I knew my previous religion was not right nor was my husband's...they both conflicted with scripture...and here I am! The real deal.

Satan will appear before us as the antiChrist and perform miracles. You know God when you see Him if you KNOW Him already. Those who refuse to know Him will be deceived. I will remain faithful to Jesus and Christianity.
