Store brands from Publix and Winn Dixie are now being recalled. Please check the menu foods web site for the complete listing of brands. Is this ever going to end?

I believe they were already on the recall list.

Try to avoid foods that contain wheat gluten, and are not used with human-grade products.

As for when this is going to end? Probably not for years considering that the FDA needs to enforce stricter policies when cornering the pet food market.

When you look through the major pet food recalls of the recent past almost all of them are from contaminated wheat or corn products. So, it seems to me that if you stay away from those foods that contain wheat or corn your pet will be much safer. Plus, these aren't even natural foods for dogs and cause more allergy problems than other ingredients.

Stick with a food that contains human grade ingredients as well. Canidae is a good one and very affordable in my opinion.

This is so scary. I make my own pet food now but I worry so much for these poor animals. Hopefully this tragedy will wake up the powers that be to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Avoid any pet food containing "wheat glutin".

stay with hollistic and you wont have a problem... i had my dogs on nutro and it was recalled so i switched to blue buffalo... i hope everyones pets stay safe
