I pay my verizon wireless cell phone bill with my mastercard every month. No, you don't get charged more for doing this. It's just like you pay for anything at a store. I try to pay all my bills with a credit card to earn points. :D Then I pay off my credit card balance by the due date to avoid finance charge.

If you have a debit card through your bank, you might want to use that. That way, at least you wouldn't have to pay interest on a bill you already paid. Writing a check and using a debit card are practically one in the same. The money comes from the same source, the method in which you pay is the only difference.

You won't be charged any extra, in fact you save the price of a stamp!
I pay all my bills online directly through my bank, using e-bill. This is a secure way to insure your account or card information is never stolen or abused.

You will pay the same amount either way. If you charge it and don't pay your credit card off every month, you may pay finance charges to your credit card. But if you pay your credit card off every month then you pay the same amount. In fact, if you get rewards from your card, you may end up ahead.

No, very few companies these days charge their customers extra money for using credit cards. I would consider using the credit card instead of the checks, especially if your credit card has some sort of perk.
