My live-in boyfriend of three years said he was too tired? For a regular good night kiss? I'm talking about a one-second peck on the lips, not making out?

We brushed teeth at same time and got into bed. I said goodnight, and usually I get a kiss. I said "can I have my goodnight kiss?" in a teasing way, and he said "I'm tired" in a grumpy voice.

I felt pretty insulted that he did not have the energy for one little goodnight kiss.

It would have taken one-second of his time to make me feel good. Now he is asking if it is a rule he has to kiss me goodnight.

It was more of a tradition, but now I am off on the whole idea.

He does not understand why I would be hurt that he did not want to kiss me.

I did tell him that I could never see myself refusing one-second kiss if he asked me. Even if I am moody etc.... if asked I care enough to make that tiny effort....he can be quite stubborn and he said he absolutely would not be hurt if I said no..... we usually get along great but this is just annoying!

He was sleepy, so that part is true. He fell asleep on the couch. I woke him to go brush his teeth. And what he has on his mind is that he hates my cat. Actually all cats. I had one when he met me, but he has lost all patience and its affecting us. He does not like that they jump. My cat is a calm, well-behaved cat too.

I would be upset with you two. I had a live-in boyfriend and when I would say goodnight, he would lean over and kiss me on my forehead (my favorite place to be kissed, don't know why), but still it was like my goodnight kiss. One night when I said goodnight, he threw me a peace sign with his fingers. I was so insulted and hurt. He had no clue (supposedly) the next day why I was so upset. So I completely agree with you, and as far as your boyfriend goes, it would have taken him less effort to lean over and give you a peck, than say "i'm tired" in a grumpy tone. Good luck to ya.

some adult males only don't experience kissing as an illustration of exhibiting affection, this brings us to how he replaced into stated via his mom and father. If in the kin kissing and hugging have not been completely practiced as a thank you to teach love for another then maximum in all probability the toddlers will never be inspired to do it everytime they want to teach how lots they love someone. There are different procedures than via it seems that kissing. the two one in all you will only would desire to agree on it.

Not to burst your bubble, but my last relationship, I went through the same thing. He would face me and I would go to give him a kiss and he would roll over or ask me what I was doing. Or he would be rolled over and I would go to kiss him and he would blow me off or tell me he has to be up early...Yea I'm glad that realtionship is over...but I would watch out for sings. It sounds like you have months of heartache ahead of you. I know I did.

Maybe he was just grumpy and didn't feel like it or maybe he was joking and decided not to you because might fought with him over it.

I wouldn't be bothered by it unless it keeps happening over and over. Sounds like there's something on his mind that's bothering him. Ask him about it.
