If you reread the account, you will find that man's domination over the woman was the result of the curse that followed the fall. It was not so ordained from the beginning. (Genesis 3:16)

Yes God gave women to man,, thus the sexist part began. If you noticed, many times when people mention god, it's a he, I don't know why, one of the many stupid claims of the bible which I think is bs to begin with. Men were given a generally larger physique, having more strength and speed, muscle is more common in a man, generally speaking, there are many strong women,,, but there were matriarchal tribes that revolved around women, native and African based tribes,,, so this is merely the bible that suggests this, so much for morals and equality.

God is sexist because he was invented by sexist men. Men are afraid of women enough as it is. There is no way they would invent a God that gave women more power over men than they already have.

The people who invented the Christian god may have been illiterate goat herders, but they knew that if they gave women access to power and authority they would, being more intelligent, cease all the power and leave their men wondering what had gone wrong.

Not exactly...

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Man & woman were created to be companions, love one another, which means submit to one another, which requires compromise. He recommended a family order in the OT that worked then that might no longer work in a marriage today. One size does not fit all.

It says NOWHERE in the bible that women (in general or in society) need to submit to men (in general or in society). Unfortunately, men have used scripture out of context to satisfy their desire to dominate. Now the tables have been turned on them. What goes around comes around...

A lot of women hate this. Let me tell you how it is God is the head of man and man is the head of woman. We all want the word to fit us there is and order and the main reason we are having so many problem these days is because we are out of line with Gods word it,s not that hard to figure out until we do we will have the problems we have now and many more .

Not to dominate where did you get that word. So man would not be lonely and he could pro create. Maybe you need to pray before you read for understanding and also before calling God names! Where is your head right now! Put it in a good place and reread! Grumpy!

God gave woman to man to be his helper... not for man to dominate over her. God didnt say that he created women to be slaves of men.

I dont believe that God is sexist. I believe that we allow our own perception to taint the image of God. Submission is not sexist... it is God's will. And if we are going to read from the bible, we must not forget that it was Eve who was tempted in the garden, and therefore committed the first sin, not Adam. Eve was first deceived by the devil, not Adam.

Yes God did give a woman to a man. God isn't sexist just wanted someone to talk to since it would be very lonely if there was only one man and no women. Whatever the Bible says it's true since it's word of God.

According to the Abrahamic religions, that seem to be the way thing are interpreted. According to other cultures around the world either woman was made first, or man and woman were made at the same time.
