Just so some of you understand where I'm coming from: I do not personally have any "pet names" for anyone but my husband. Don't go lumping me in with all the haters on here. I'm just asking a straight-forward question. I don't mind being called a fundie. That's all folks.

No, I take it as a compliment to know the FUNDAMENTALS of my faith well. It's better to be called a fundie than a hypocrite. That one would really hurt!!!

It has kind of taken on the same tone as the word "liberal" in recent years... the extreme end of the scale in the opposite direction...

I get along with some conservatives and even some republicans but I would never associate with a self-proclaimed "fundie" because now it just implies that they are anti-gay and nothing more...

The label helps me to filter questions I will not answer, so I don't mind the flippancy.

Persons that have forgotten the basic rules of polite behavior they learned in kindergarten don't warrant any serious time being spent on them by others.

I've never been called a "fundie" well at least that I know of.

Proud of it...The meaning of "fundie" is the one who believes the word of God

It doesn't really bother me. I think it is kind of funny because that is what I would describe myself as but apparently I do not fit the mold.

So... the story of my life! Praise God!

it shouldn't bother you. after all, you fundies have your pet names for us.. non-believers, heathens, i don't think i need to continue with the names. the point is, who cares? if it bothers you that much maybe the problem is within you.

Try being called a "Fluffy Bunny"

That's no picnic either.

Yes. Because I don't deserve it. I defend scripture from the Christians that use it to attack gays.
