Matthew 18:9 (Whole Chapter)
And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

Mark 9:43
If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. [ Some manuscripts out, 44 where / " 'their worm does not die, / and the fire is not quenched.']

Mark 9:45
And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. [ Some manuscripts hell, 46 where / " 'their worm does not die, / and the fire is not quenched.']

Well these are commands we are not obeying...
Matthew 18:9
is telling us is that if we are looking at things that we are not suppose to we are to look away and not look back.
Mark 9:43 &Mark 9:45
is telling us is that if we are using our hands (try holding the Bible instead of those gossip or dirty magazines) and feet (run and get on your knees and pray) for bad we should hold them together and with our feet to run alway from sinful acts.

I believe that the concept was, if that's what makes you sin, then throw it away from you, knowing that there isn't a need to. The sin is in our nature. He was dealing with a mindset that a lot of people still have. They are so worried about, 'is this a sin? or is that a sin?' When they are totally missing the point.

the world must be full of perfect Christians otherwise ALL of them would be missing at least an eye, a hand and a foot.

Interesting, you do not see too many Christians gouging out their eyes, or cutting off their hands...

Sounds ridiculous! Also, God said thou shall not kill, but then Jesus comes along and says to kill people in front of him. So which is it? Luke 19:27-8

Makes me laugh. The only thing that would make me peel my eyes out would be if they had sulfuric acid in them.
