in fact people define this word according to their own way . it depends upon the level of his intellect, and one can not convince someone because it is not possible to increase the someone's intellect instanteneously until a person does not have desire to learn.so depends upon the level of intellect different person/religions define love in different way.
but the general definition of love is...
keep in mind that you are the member of a family which is universe
"love is a wave which flows from one to the whole universe for increasing the overall universe intellect "
here the word overall plays important role in a way like may be due to this wave some people may decrease the intellect but many will increase their intellect ,so overall intellect will increase.
people say to kill someone because it is the voice of their senses which gives perishable pleasure to mind but they define it love.

I am a proud christian and i have not heard of this religions killings.... although as you know many extremists of different religions go to the point were they kill for satisfatctoy thinking that they have done a good deed. The whole world is your family. We are all related together from the bloodline of Adam And Eve. Just think of that.

You need to look at a more religions, because I only know two of the living faiths that teach that. FYI there are a lot more then just 2 living faiths.

Do what you will, just beware of the karma you'll accrue... if you're inclined to kill as a person, you'll make up any excuse to do it, even using religion as an excuse/tool, which usually means cutting and pasting text from holy books to do it like other people who are sociopaths.
RELIGIONS generally do NOT teach "killing"... PEOPLE do.

To condemn someone to hell because they don't "believe" as some do is killing. The Native Americans say everything is related. They are right as you are. I am free of religion. I am that I am. Thou art that.

Namaste,
There is nothing wrong with that but you have to understand Hinduism is the only inclusive religion, that is why nobody else here on the board gets it..

My religion doesn't teach that. Plus, I've never heard that during khutbahs.
