You can't get by in this instance with "Hi, my name is.... ", or tell me about yourself, etc... B/c you are already friends with this person and have been for some time. What are some things to do to take this pretty slow into progression?

If you know he's interested its better to give him the thrill of chase.Men just love it and you should let them chase you.
Men, for the most part, like to pursue women. They like not knowing if they can catch you. They feel rewarded when they do. Especially when the chase is a long one.

Because he's not sure of how you feel.
I never was the "coy" type, and there's no way a man would doubt that I was attracted, available and interested.
You might have to make it clear...tell him..how you feel.

Just get him alone, and try to make a move on him. If he's interested, he'll probably grab the bait.
