Ok. When you believe that fighting for a cause will save your soul for eternity, you don't care to die. Do our leaders not comprehend this? You can't fight religion, but with a little understanding and respect you can coexist. But I guess Bush thinks he's doing this for America! Yeah right. Either he hates Islam or loves oil, probably both. Terrorism will never go away completely, but it will shrink if we quit putting on a front that we are trying to rid the world of Islam. I'm Christian but that's what I believe in, but I respect everybody elses beliefs. Let's get these politicians some training in cultural diversity!!

No. The existence of religion doesn't make the above scenario any less likely to happen. The world has always had religion and power-crazed dictators. If everyone in the world is an atheist then nobody will believe in gods. Anybody claiming to be a god will be laughed at.

No, for religion is of "man" not "God" and in saying so, there lays "confusion," which no stable, reliable politian NEEDS. As for your answer to cultural studies, that should only be required of those this country SENDS overseas to other countries in diplomacy, as Ms. Rice does at the present time. Religion and politics should stay AWAY from each other as REAL problems are not solved by deluded beliefs but are resolved by the "realities" at hand........

The more we know the better we can comprehend things going on around us. However, there are so many religions, they probably wouldn't have time for anything else.

How about we reinstate the golden rule, which exists some form or another in almost all religions:

"Do unto others as you would have them do to you."

You are essentially saying that the terrorists have a point and should be given a voice.

I think they have a legitimate gripe, but *nothing* justifies the murder of non-combatants.
