Hello again sister, it seems like your dealing with a "focus" problem. True, those things may go on in the church, but when you start zeroing on those things, you take your eyes of God. And when you start focusing in on those things, it's because your trying to take the focus off the issues in your own life. Okay, I was at a church where the pastor would do me wrong. But when I first got to that church, I heard the Lord say clearly, "Support your pastor". So after being there for 6 months at this church, me and the pastor got into a disagreement. I decided to leave, The Lord directed me to go back. I said, "Did you see how he treated me?". The Lord told me, "What did I tell you to do?". I thought to myself, "You told me to support him". My point is this, God does n't care about what you think is wrong in the church, as much as He cares about you being faithful to Him. There's no telling what kind of revelation or anointing God wanted to birth out of you, by you staying. Your problem is not church, it's your flesh. If the love of God is being perfected in you, then God will give you the understanding to deal with those things in church and it will not hinder you at all. Focus just on the Lord.

You know satan is so good at making us focus on the negative things so that you won't grow spiritually. If your not content at your church by all means try a different one!I think its wise to visit many different churches while you decide where you feel happy & where God wants you to be.Pray alot about it.Our heavenly Father knows our needs so tell him what you want & feel you need.Even if you've strayed away you know He'll always take you back. But get back in there & fight it!Have you talked to a christian counselor? It would be wise to share your troubles with someone from a different church to get their opinion.Visit www.cbn.com they have a a thing where they can give you the name of churches in your area that they recommend.Come back to the Lord. He's waiting with arms open wide.Good luck!

Church is merely the place where religious people meet. It is a social aspect of life. Your inner spirituality Is what is being bombarded with negative response from these people. Seek out the spiritually minded that do not attend church (perhaps for similar reasons). Some can be found in groups on the internet (have you checked out beliefnet?)

You have to live for God and not for a church or religion.

Use the church as a place to worship God, and try to blank out all of the bad things around you.

Try to concentrate on just you and God...meditate and worship and leave the bad feelings at the door.

Everyone will answer for their deeds one day, and so will the "Christians"

It might just be the church(es) or denomination(s) you attended. Try going to many different churches of many different denominations and find the one that fits you best. It sounds like you might have gone to a megachurch (big emphasis on tithing). Try some small churches.
