Wow. What a spectacular confrontation. It really could go either way, Dempsey would give Johnson, Louis or Ali a hell of a rough night. Still I always rank Dempsy around 4th or 5th on my all time greats list. So I'm gonna have to give Keith a thumbs up and agree with him, but I don't see in going the distance.

Jack Johnson by KO at around round 18.

Dempsey because although these 2 fighters were from different eras, he was believed by most aficionados of the sport to be one of the hardest men that ever fought.

Typically, when its great slugger verses great boxer, you have to go with the great boxer. Since Tunney was able to outbox Dempsey, I'm thinking that Johnson would do the same.
